Sayonara
is a Brazilian artist from the city of Natal, State of Rio Grande do Norte,
born on October 1st, 1966. She has had individual shows and has participated
in several collective shows in Brazil and abroad. As an artist-inventor and
visual poet, in the 80s she was part of the Group Oxente (with Guaraci Gabriel,
Civone Medeiros and C. Cunha) producing installations and urban interventions,
including her intervention in the XX Biennial of São Paulo. She was part
of two shows of visual poetry in the State of Rio Grande do Norte: the First
National, in 1995, celebrating the years of concrete poetry, where she showed
the installation "of string and webs" within the Seminary of Semiology
and Art of UFRN, and afterwards at the VII Hispanic-American Congress of Semiology
in Spain. In 2000, she presented, with the artist/process J. Medeiros, the Supysaua
Atelier. In 2001 she participates as a guest artist at the III Biennial of Visual
Arts of Mercosul.
