Pedro
José Branco Ribeiro is a poet, storyteller, composer, author of mini
theatrical pieces, and was born in Rio de Janeiro on March 21, 1942. Soon after
his birth, he moved to Cataguases (Minas Gerais). He integrated the staff of
the newspaper "O Muro" (1961) with first concrete experience and "SLD"
(1963) and "Totem" (1972) also with vanguard literature (Process-Poem,
Mail Art.) In the 1970s, he wrote in several supplements, magazines and participated
in anthologies and visual poetry shows in Brazil and other countries. Between
1981 and 1984 he edited "Casa de Literatura e Mira," which were booklets
composed of mini tales and visual poems. His published books include: "Abstractions
of a Tiger" (poems) 1976; "Birds" (poems) 1877; "The Dragon"
(visualized short stories) 1981; "Human Walls" (postcards) 1981; and
"Visuals" (poems) 1982.
