Moacy
Cirne was born in 1943 in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. He lived
in Natal, the capital of that state, until 1967, when he moved to Rio de Janeiro.
He has lived in Rio de Janeiro since then. He was a participant in the founding
of the Poem/Process movement in 1967. He was also the first Brazilian writer
to publish books about comic books after 1970. He recently published "Comics,
Seduction and Passion". He is also assistant professor in the Department
of Social Communication of the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro
(Universidade Federal Fluminense), in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. Among
literary production, essays and poetry, he published 19 books in total.
