1 - What does Visual Poetry mean to you?
It is a mode of visual artistic articulation bound to the vibrating from which all poetic manifestation emerges. It is that which may capture a resonance that can be witnessed in the art object, hovering between the act of writing and its representing gesture.
2 - Who were and/or are your sources of inspiration, your models (either poets or artistic movements) in this artistic medium?
Leonardo da Vinci, Matisse, Mira Schendel, Julius Bissier, Philip Guston, Augusto and Haroldo de Campos, Décio Pignatari, Manoel de Barros, Rumi, and Henri Michaux among others.
3 - Why did you choose to create, or why do you enjoy creating, Visual Poetry as one of your artistic expressions?
Because it incorporates different artistic media. Visual poetry focuses on the word as the propelling agent of gesture.
4- When did you first adopt Visual Poetry as a mode of expression?
It is an old interest of mine, but I don't see myself as a poet.
