Bandeira is a poet and musician. In 1986 he began publishing his poems in specialized magazines and producing special editions of visual poems, such as "Au Ménage" and "Principle of Poetry." The first collection of his works, the book "Rente" (São Paulo: Ateliê Editorial), was published in 1997. Using a variety of medias, such as transparencies, relief printing and serigraphy, it brought his multiple works with the word to a wider public. In 1996, Bandeira created video-poems that were shown in electronic panels on the streets of São Paulo. The video-poems later became part of the multimedia show "Live Rente," with computer-generated animation and live performances. Bandeira is currently organizing a new book (including an audio CD) and he is also preparing an exhibition of his visual photographic poems. He also works as publisher at the São Paulo University Press.
