Christine Mello is a researcher in art language and art media and is a candidate for a doctorate in Communication and Semiotics at PUC-SP, with a specialization in video studies in Brazil, with Arlindo Machado. Her thesis is on process criticism in the video analysis of Lucas Bambozzi’s "Love Stories." Mello has done critical readings of multiform artists and has been involved in curatorial projects related to electronic media. She has supervised the curatorship of the video section of the MIS-SP, where she has created the project "Referências Videográficas" and the IV Mostra MIS of Video. She has integrated the "Colóquio Corpo Contemporâneo" Espaço, Imagem e Representação, organized by the Galeria Sesc Paulista, where she headed a conference about contemporary photography and Neide Jallageas's work. Mello has been a consultant for Paço das Artes in video and new media and has participated in the three editions of the "Projeto Arte/Cidade" (97-94) as part of the coordination team and executive production. Recently, Mello was responsible for research and guidance of the documentary "A Poética de Philadelpho Menezes."
