Bruno Monteiro was born in Recife, Brazil, on May 15, 1968. He majored in Industrial Chemistry (UNICAP, Brazil, 1992) and has a Master’s degree in Organic Chemistry (UFPE, Brazil, 1997). He has been working professionally as an artist since 1992, and his first steps into this long journey have been dedicated to expressionistic paintings. He is currently engaged in overlapping the artistic and scientific areas and finding that topological thought and palingenesis are the fundamental fuel for his artistic production. His most important expositions include the "9th Edition of the Municipal Room of Plastic Arts, IX SAMAP," in João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil, 2000. He was honored in the "Pernambuco Premium of Plastic Arts: New Talents," Recife, Brazil, 1999. He participated in the group show "Mangue: The Vision of New Pernambuco Painters," Recife, Brazil, 1996.
